PETUKANGAN UTARA, KEC. PESANGGRAHAN, JAKARTA SELATAN) Xv + 109 Halaman + 41 Tabel + 1 Gambar + 7 Lampiran ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh Persepsi Masyarakat pada pemberitaan kasus Ferdy Sambo di kawasan RT005 RW008 Kel.Petukangan Utara, Kec.Pesanggrahan, Jakarta Selatan. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat terhadap citra Polri pada pemberitaan kasus Ferdy Sambo. Kasus sambo sendiri bermula pada 2 Juli 2022 di Magelang, Jawa Tengah, dan berakhir pada 2 Juli 2022 dirumah dinas Ferdy Sambo di Duren Tiga, Jakarta Selatan. Kasus pembunuhan Brigadir J (Yosua Hutabarat) oleh atasan nya sendiri yaitu Ferdy Sambo, berdasarkan berita yang beredar dan fakta pengadilan pembunuhan ini bemotif karena Brigadir J melakukan tindak asusila kepada istri Ferdy Sambo yaitu ibu Putri yang berakhir pembunuhan Brigadir J oleh Ferdy Sambo yang diawal kasus ini sempat Brigadir E (Bharada Eliezer) yang dijadikan kambing hitam atas dosa dari Ferdy Sambo ini. Dari tersebar nya kasus ini pula banyak nya postingan di sosial media yang dimana banyak masyarakat merendahkan kepolisian Indonesia. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain : Teori Public Relations Menurut Rex Harlow (Ruslan, 2016:16). Sedangkan untuk Teori Citra menurut Holt, Rinehart, and Winston dalam (Gassing, 2016:156). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei, jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah masyarakat RT 005 RW 008 Kel. Petukangan Utara, Kec. Pesanggrahan, Jakarta Selatan, yang berjumlah 33 responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket kuesioner secara langsung kepada responden. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket tertutup. Memakai skor skala likert dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan skala likert dibantu program SPSS versi 24 for windows. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukan persepsi masyarakat terhadap citra Polri pada pemberitaan kasus Ferdy Sambo yaitu negatif, hasil berdasarkan dari rekapitulasi jawaban responden yaitu sebanyak 33 responden menjawab hasil rata-rata skor menujukkan negatif dengan hasil mean yaitu 2,30. Lalu dari hasil jawaban responden ini dapat di lihat bahwa citra Polri menjadi negatif karena ada nya berita kasus pembunuhan oleh Ferdy Sambo yang memberikan dampak langsung terhadap citra Polri yang menjadi negatif. ABSTRACT This research was motivated by public perceptions regarding the reporting of the Ferdy Sambo case in the area RT005 RW008 Kel.Petukangan Utara, Kec.Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. This research also aims to determine the public's perception of the image of the National Police in the reporting of the Ferdy Sambo case. The Sambo case itself began on July 2 2022 in Magelang, Central Java, and ended on July 2 2022 at Ferdy Sambo's official residence in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta. The case of the murder of Brigadier J (Yosua Hutabarat) by his own superior, namely Ferdy Sambo, based on the news circulating and the facts of this murder trial was motivated by Brigadier J committing immoral acts against Ferdy Sambo's wife, namely Putri's mother, which ended in the murder of Brigadier J by Ferdy Sambo at the beginning of the case. This was Brigadier E (Bharada Eliezer) who was made the scapegoat for Ferdy Sambo's sins. Due to the spread of this case, there have also been many posts on social media in which many people denigrate the Indonesian police. The theories used in this research include: Public Relations Theory according to Rex Harlow (Ruslan, 2016:16). Meanwhile, for Image Theory according to Holt, Rinehart, and Winston in (Gassing, 2016: 156). This research uses a survey method, this type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this research is the people of RT 005 RW 008 Kel. North Petukangan, District. Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, totaling 33 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire directly to respondents. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire. Using a Likert scale score and data analysis techniques using a Likert scale assisted by the SPSS version 24 for Windows program. The conclusion of the research shows that the public's perception of the image of the National Police in the reporting of the Ferdy Sambo case is negative, the results are based on the recapitulation of respondents' answers, namely that 33 respondents answered that the average score showed negative results with a mean result of 2.30. Then, from the results of the respondents' answers, it can be seen that the image of the National Police has become negative because there was news of the murder case by Ferdy Sambo which had a direct impact on the image of the National Police which became negative.
