Abstract

FAKULTAS ILMU SOSIAL DAN ILMU POLITIK PROGAM STUDI ILMU KOMUNIKASI KONSENTRASI PUBLIC RELATIONS Skripsi, 29 July 2022 Menur Tadahsih 2017140080 Peran Hubungan Masyarakat Kepolisian Resor Tangerang Selatan Dalam Mempertahankan Citra Kepolisian (Studi Deskriptif pada Media Sosial Instagram @humaspolrestangsel) ABSTRAK Di era reformasi sekarang ini masyarakat semakin kritis terhadap kebijakan–kebijkan pemerintah selain itu masyarakat juga menuntut informasi yang transparan dari pemerintah. Dalam dunia Public Relations, memberikan penerangan dan informasi kepada masyarakat tentang kebijakan serta tujuan yang akan dicapai oleh pemerintah, merupakan salah satu upaya humas untuk menciptakan opini publik yang positif demi tercapainya citra yang positif. Kunci utama keberhasilan humas adalah adanya kepercayaan dari publik, kepercayaan tersebut akan dapat diraih jika lembaga yang bersangkutan memiliki citra yang baik dimata masyarakat. Menciptakan citra baik lembaganya dengan melakukan kegiatan – kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh kepercayaan, good will dan saling pengertian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran humas pemerintah dalam meningkatkan citra. Penelitian ini mengenai peran PR berdasarkan dimensi penasehat asli (expert prescriber), fasilitator komunikasi (communication facilitator), fasilitator proses pemecahan masalah (problem solving process facilitator ), dan teknisi komunikasi (communication technician). Hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan diketahui bahwa humas polri menjalankan paran sebagai penasehat ahli dan fasilitator pemecah masalah apabila berkaitan dengan tugas humas saja. Sedangkan peran sebagai fasilitator komunikasi dan teknisi komunikasi merupakan peran yang utama dijalankan oleh humas POLR. In the world of Public Relations, providing information and information to the public about policies and goals to be achieved by the government, is one of the public relations efforts to create positive public opinion in order to achieve a positive image. The main key to the success of public relations is the trust from the public, this trust will be achieved if the institution concerned has a good image in the eyes of the public. Creating a good image of the institution by carrying out activities aimed at gaining trust, good will and mutual understanding. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of government public relations in improving the image. This research is about the role of PR based on the dimensions of the original advisor (expert prescriber), communication facilitator (communication facilitator), problem solving process facilitator (problem solving process facilitator), and communication technician (communication technician). The results of the research as a whole are known that the Public Relations of the Indonesian National Police run paran as expert advisors and problem-solving facilitators when it comes to public relations tasks. Meanwhile, the role as a communication facilitator and communication technician is the main role carried out by the POLRI public relations.
