Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is a mother who has Hb <11 gr% in the first and third trimester then for the second trimester <10.5 gr%. According to WHO data (2019), Anemia occurs in 40% of pregnant women worldwide. Indonesia is in the severe category with a prevalence of 44.2%. Then according to Riskesdas data (2018), the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in 2013 in Indonesia was 37.1% and in 2018 it increased to 48.9%. Based on data.from the DKJ Jakarta Health Office (2018) shows that the prevalence o anemia in DK.I Jakarta in 2018 was 12.31%, and Central Jakarta was the second highest after thousand islands with a prevalence of 18.58%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about nutrition for pregnant women and nutritional status with anemia status in third trimester pregnant women at the Puskesmas of Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta in 2023. This type of research is descriptive analytic with cross sectional design. The number of samples was 65 people using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between anemia status in third trimester pregnant women at the Puskesmas of Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta with matemal knowledge about nutrition for pregnant women (p value <0.01) and nutritional status (p value=0.027). It is recommended for pregnant women to increase knowledge about nutrition and anemia in pregnancy and fulfill nutrition before and during pregnancy.
