Abstract

Background: The period of growth and development for babies aged 1 -6 months is very rapid and is said to be the golden age or the golden age. Growth and development in children, starting with newborns who are born at term but can later experience physical changes caused by malnutrition and delays in social development and development. To maximize the nutritional status of infants, stimulation is needed. Baby massage is one type of stimulation by touching the baby. Ignorance of parents, especially mothers about the importance of stimulation in the process of child development, which causes their children to receive less r stimulation fom an early age. Objective: to determine the level of knowledge of mothers about infant massage 1-6 months through the audio-visual method at BPM r Hilda Martina in 2023. Methods: This type of research is analytic obsevational with a case control design. The population in this study were 62 people. The sample used in this study used a total sampling of 62 mothers who had babies aged 1 -6 months. Result: The T-test results obtained p = 0.000 (<0.05) meaning that statistically there was a significant difference between mothers who were given audio-visual and mothers who were not given audio-visual.
