Abstract
Parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders are often found carrying a huge psychological burden. To seek informational and emotional support, parents use several coping strategies, including through digital resources. The research employed qualitative approach with virtual ethnography method. Data were obtained through participant observation on Facebook LRD Member Suar Autisme by examining 178 posts, 3,569 comments and in-depth interviews with the group moderators. Data were encoded with NVivo 12 Pro. Results indicated that the virtual community provided social support, both informational and emotional. There were two major themes within informational support, i.e., Medical Treatment and Psychosocial Treatment, while emotional support consisted of Sharing Experience, Reinforcement, Empathy, and Building Optimism and Hope.
