Abstract

The capital city of DKI Jakarta also has the potential that it is currently being developed as a reference for inspiration and fashion trends both at the national and world levels. Jakarta has the potential to become a reference for inspiration and fashion trends at the national and even global levels. The lifestyle that is developing in the city of Jakarta is no exception; fashion trends also attract the attention of audiences that are then followed by many people. A metaphor in architecture is a figure of speech or expression of form embodied in a building in the hope that it will elicit a response from people who enjoy or use his work. The concept of metaphoric architecture has three types, namely, Tangible metaphors, Intangible metaphors, and Combined metaphors. Buildings that use the concept of metaphorical architecture have actually been widely used, but the certainty of the application is not yet clear. Therefore, researchers have a goal for this research to describe and understand the elements of the building as well as the application of this type of architectural metaphor into fashion buildings. The method used is descriptive qualitative by analyzing the case study objects that have been observed. The conclusions are based on the analysis and discussion in the case study using aspects associated with building elements in the form of site plans, compositions, floor plans, facades, and interiors associated with the types of architectural metaphors used. In the case study, the Tokyo Fashion Tower and Beekman Tower buildings have a Tangible metaphoric architecture (palpable metaphor), while the Gakuen Cocoon Tower mode has a Combined metaphoric architectural type (Combination Metaphor). Keywords: Architecture, Metaphoric Architecture, Education, Fashion, Types of metaphoric architecture
