Abstract

The creative industry sector in the industrial revolution era 4.0 plays a very important role in the global economic turnaround. Indonesia's creative industry in 2016 occupied the fourth largest sector in the absorption of the national workforce. Architecture is one of 16 creative industry sub-sectors in Indonesia. Improving the quality of human resources in the field of architecture ideally starts from college. But unfortunately there are many architectural students who find it difficult to transform ideas into design works. This research begins with concerns about final-year students who have difficulty in learning architectural design, especially in advanced architectural design course. Students are less skilled at transforming ideas into design works. The main problem of this research is how to find alternative creative learning methods that can help students to transform ideas into architectural works. The purpose of this research is to produce alternative creative methods, which can help students in transforming ideas into works for learning advanced architectural design. The research method used in this research is descriptive narrative method. Students who participated as the objects of this research were 75 students, they’re also take advanced architectural design course. The results of the result shown that creative thinking methods is found for advanced architectural design. This method has been proven to produce a graduation rate of 93%.
