Abstract

ABSTRACT Background, Family Planning (KB) is the act of helping individuals or married couples to avoid unwanted birth. The National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) as the agency that functions to carry out population control and family planning, is now launching the Family Population and Family Planning Development program (BANGGA KENCANA) for the formation of prosperous families in Indonesia (BKKBN, 2020). Based on data from the Office of Child Protection and Population Control Empowerment (DPPAPP) that new participants of family planning in the last three years have increased by around 10.37%. Destination, Analyze the relationship between injectable birth control administration and increase weight in PMB "X", Cilincing District, North Jakarta. Method, This type of research is quantitative. Design using Cross Sectional. Place at PMB NY "X" Cilincing District, North Jakarta. Secondary data collection of injectable birth control mothers from 2020-2022. By using sampling systematics, the number of samples obtained is in multiples of 90 per respondent. Results, There are 50.0% of the majority of injectable birth control acceptors who gain weight. There is 100.0% majority of injectable birth control acceptors used >2 years. There are 50.0% majority of injectable birth control acceptors aged 20-35 years. There are 61.0% of the majority of injectable birth control keptors with secondary education (SMA). There are 50.0% majority of birth control acceptors who inject their jobs as Housewives (IRT). The test results of p value= 0.047 (p < 0.05) this identified Ho rejected, meaning that there is a relationship between the type of injectable birth control and weight gain in PMB NY "X" Cilincing District, North Jakarta in 2020-2022. The test results of p vaJue = 0.246 (p > 0.05) this identified Ho as accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between the length of use of injectable birth control and weight gain in PMB NY "X" Cilincing District, North Jakarta. Conclusion, There is a relationship between the type of injectable birth control and weight gain with a value of p = 0.047 (p < 0.05). There is a relationship between weight gain and the duration of use of injectable birth control with a value of p = 0.032 (P < 0.05). Keywords: injectable birth control, weight gain
