Abstract

Background. According to WHO data, the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding for babies aged 0-6 months is around 44% of the total global population, but there has been a significant increase in cases of anxiety disorders which have reached 26%. Anxiety refers to feelings of fear, discomfort, and tension that can arise in individuals at various times. Self-efficacy in the context of breastfeeding mothers refers to a mother's positive beliefs and attitudes towards her ability to breastfeed, as well as how she overcomes various challenges associated with the breastfeeding process.Aim. The objective of this research is to investigate the correlation between emergencies and the self-efficacy of breastfeeding mothers. Method. This type of quantitative research with an observational approach. /\mount sample were 96 respondents. Instrument to measure e:ich variable using a questionnaire HARS and BSE-SF. This research was conducted in the Working Area of the Community Health Center Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta City. Results. Of the 56 respondents whose anxiety level was not anxious there were S people (8.9%) with low self-efficacy and SI people (91.1%) with high self-efficacy in breastfeeding mothers and of the 42 respondents who had a mild level of anxiety there were 12 people ( 28.6%) with low self-efficacy in nursing mothers and 30 people (71.4%) with high self-efficacy in nursing mothers. The results of the analysis show that the pvalue = 0.027. Conclusion. There is a relationship between anxiety and self-efficacy* in breastfeeding mothers in the Work Area of the Johar Baru Health Center. Keywords: Anxiety, Self-Efficacy, Breastfeeding Mothers
