Abstract
ABSTRACT Background. Menstruation is the process of shedding the inner lining of a woman's uterus (endometrium) which contains many blood vessels. During menstruation, vulnerable women will share the threat of reproductive health problems that can cause anxiety. Menstrual anxiety can be related to menstrual personal hygiene or personal hygiene during menstruation. According to statistical data, the level of personal hygiene in Indonesia is still very poor, reaching 55% and 43.3 million girls aged 10-14 years experience serious hygiene problems.Aim.. To determine the relationship between the level of anxiety and personal hygiene during menstruation.Method. This research was conducted using quantitative research methods with a total sample of 127 students at SMPN 77 Jakarta Pusat. Data analysis techniques using bivariate and univariate.Results. Based on the results of the Chi-Square test, a p value of 0. 000 a (0. 05) was obtained. This shows that there is a relationship between anxiety levels and personal hygiene behavior during menstruation at SMPN 77 Jakarta Pusat in 2023. Conclusion. So it can be concluded that HO is rejected and Ha is accepted or the level of anxiety is related to menstrual personal hygiene in young women at SMP Negeri 77 Central Jakarta.
