Abstract

ackground: The menstrual cycle is a honnonal cycle characterized by menstruation every month. The menstrual cycle has a normal cycle of around 21-35 days, the menstrual cycle is counted from the first day of menstruation until the next period. Cycles that are 2:21-35 days are declared abnormal cycles caused by several factors. Objective: To know and analyze the detenninants of the menstrual cycle in Karang Taruna RW 14, Babagia, Babelan, Kabupaten Bekasi, Jawa Barat. Methods: Quantitative research using cross sectional design. The popula­tion of this study were all adolescent women at Karang Taruna RW 14, Bekasi Regency, West Java in 2023 "4ith a total sample of 70 adolescent women. Data collection tools used question­naire, body weights and height measuring devices. Data analysis using Chi Square. Results: Univariate : There are still 40% of adolescent women who experience abnonnal menstrnal cycles, 68.6% of adolescent women who experience moderate stress, 74.3% of adolescent women have moderate physical activity, 32.9% of adolescent women are overweight/obese and 81.4% of adolescent women who experience poor sleep quality. Statistical tests showed that there was a significant relationship between physical activity and sleep quality with the men­strual cycle (p<0.05). Conclusion: From this study it was concluded that there is a relationship between physical activity and sleep quality with the menstrual cycle in Karang Taruna RW 14, Bahagia, Babelan, Kabupaten IBekasi, Jawa Barat in 2023.
