Abstract
ABSTRACT Background. HIV/AIDS rates around the world are still high. The highest number of people infected with HIV in the world are in African countries, followed by Southeast Asia, America and finally the western Pacific. The provinces with the highest HIV/AIDS rates in Indonesia with the highest total HIV infections are DKJ Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java and Papua.followed by the highest AIDS incidence in 2023, namely Central Java, Bali, East Java, North Sumatra and Papuans. Objective. to determine the description ofHIV/AIDS knowledge in adolescents and frequency distribution based on gender, source of information, age, parental education and parental income. Methods. The research can-ied out was a quantitative study with descriptive analysis using a cross-sectional 1·esearch design. The population in this study was all students, totaling 750 students and consisting of class X and XI. The sample in this study were students who met tlze inclusion criteria and used stritified random sampling. Retrieval of data using a questionnaire. The data analysis used is univariate for analysis which provides an overview of the frequency distribution of each variable using SPSS. Result. the amount of knowledge about HIV/AIDS in SMA Negeri I Kutowinangun was in the good category, namely (58%) or as many as 58 respondents had good lrnowledge because the total score of these respondents was 2: 80% or 2: median, namely 85. 71. As many as (3 7%) there were 3 7 respondents who had moderate kno-wledge because the total score of these respondents was 2: 60% -79% or :'.S median and as many as (5%) or as many as 5 respondents who had less knowledge because the total score of these respondents was :'.S 59% or :'.S median. dan conclusion. Based on the results of the research and data analysis, it can be concluded that adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Kutowinangun have good knowledge about HlVIAJDS. Keywords: HIV/AIDS, K11owledge, Tenaager
