Abstract

ABSTRACT Background. Anemia is one of the most common complications during pregnancy. Anemia is cosnsidered a risk factor and can result in complications that threaten the lives of the mother and fetus. In Indonesia, the cause anemia is due to several factors related to anemia, namely internal factors (age, parity, education, knowiedge, compiiance in consuming iron) and external factors (frequency Antenatal Care (ANC) visits, family and work support). Aim. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and the frequency of Antenatal Care (ANC) visits with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Senen District Health Center. Method.This research uses descriptive analysis with a cross sectional research design. The sample for this study was term pregnant women (37-40 weeks), postpartum mothers with a history of term pregnancy as many as 65 respondents. The sampling technique in this research is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. Results. The research found that there was a relationship between family support and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women (0,003) and there was no relationship between the frequency of Antenatal Care (ANC) visits and the incidence of anemia pregnant women (1,000). Conclusion. This research shows that there is a relationship between family support and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women and there is no relationship between the frequency of Antenatal Care (ANC) visits and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Senen District Health Center.
