Abstract

Background. Menstrual Hygiene Management is the management of hygiene and health when women experience menstruation. Menstrual hygiene will maintain body health during menstruation, by changing pads as often as possible and cleaning the vagina and surrounding areas. Objective. To find out about Menstrual Hygiene Management for Adolescent Girls at SMP NEGERI 13 BEKASI CITY. Method. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research with a cross sectional approach. The sample used was 143 young female respondents and was conducted at SMP Negeri 13 Bekasi City. This sample was carried out using stratified random sampling and met the inclusion criteria. Next, the data is presented in univariate analysis. Results. From the results of the research, family support was in the sufficient category, 77.6%, knowledge of teenagers in the good category was 82.5%, school toilet facilities were in the adequate category, 81.1%, use of sanitary napkins for teenage girls was in the quite good category, 57. 3%. Conclusion. The results of research conducted on menstrual hygiene management can be concluded that the family support given to female students/adolescents is quite good, the knowledge of adolescent girls regarding menstruation is good, school toilet facilities are adequate and must be maintained so that adolescents are comfortable using school toilets and using sanitary napkins. teenagers are quite good and some teenagers use disposable sanitary napkins Keywords: Family Support, Knowledge, Toilet Facilities, Use of Sanitary Pads.
