Abstract

Background. Marriages carried out by teenagers under the age of 20 can be called early marriage. Healthy marriage refers to marriage between a 25-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman. This is based on consideration of maturity and the importance of reproductive system readiness in the context of marriage. Based on secondary data from the Cibingbin Subdistrict Religious Affairs Office, in 2022 there are still 50 marriages for teenagers under 20 years old. Parenting and peer roles are thought to be one of the factors triggering early marriage. Purposes. This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting and peer roles with the incidence of early marriage in adolescent girls Methods. Type of observational research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study is all married women in KUA Cibingbin sub-district in 2022 with a sample of 82 respondents. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Research instrument in the form of questionnaires. The data were analyzed using the chi square test. Result. The results showed a significant relationship between parenting style with (P= 0.000) and peer roles (P= 0.002; OR = 4.154) with the incidence of early marriage. Conclussion. There is a relationship between parenting, peer roles and the incidence of early marriage. Keywords: Early Marriage, Between Parenting, Peers Groups, Teenager
