Abstract

Anemia is a major contributing factor to maternal morbidity and mortality during pregnancy. Anemia is a condition where the hemoglobin level (Hb) of pregnant woman is less than 11 gr/dl. Based on WHO data, in 2021 the percentage of anemia incidence in pregnant women in Indonesia continues to increase from 2015 to 2019 from 42,1% to 44,2%. One effort to reduce maternal morbidity rate and maternal mortality rate are to provide comprehensive care. Comprehensive care starting from pregnancy, childbirth, newborn, postpartum to family planning. The hope is that by providing comprehensive care, maternal and child health can be improved so that maternal morbidity and maternal mkortality can be decrease. The processes of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, newborn babies (BBL), neonatus, and family planning are processes that are interrelated and cannot be separated from each other. Basicly the processes of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, BBL, neonatus, and fqamily planning are natural processes but you must be alert if things happen that endanger the health of the mother and child, especially in mother who do not receive continues and quality midwifery care from health workers. In maternal and child health services, the continuity of care approach is an ongoing approach that can help reduce health problems during the pregnancy process until contraceptive service are running. The application of continuity of care in this case was successful in detecting the problem of anemia in pregnant women so that management could be carried out more quickly.
