The Salafi community, which is marginalized from the mainstream media in Indonesia, represents the ideology of Salafus Salih through the mediatization of religion. Salafis initially preached in a traditional way, then used radio, television, websites and social media. This ideological representation through the mediatization of religion increases the number of followers, so that they are able to reproduce social formations to maintain the status-quo. This study aims to reveal how the representation of Salafus Salih's conservative ideology through the mediatization of religion on social media. To what extent do Salafis carry out religious mediating activities through social media on Rodjatv's Instagram account? Why do Salafis choose Instagram to represent their ideology? What is it like and why does Salafi aggregate his followers virtually on Instagram for the sake of continuing da'wah in order to spread the conservative ideology of Salafus Shalih? Critical Paradigm and Qualitative Approach, as well as Virtual Ethnography Method used in this study to explain how Salafus Shalih's conservative ideology in mediating religion through three media metaphors, namely media as a conduits, languages and environments is instilled in his followers. The results of the study show that Salafus Salih's da'wah content on Instagram interpellates young Salafis, and imitates Salafus Salih's way of religion, while creating a virtual community or congregation. The Salafis then reinterpellates and replicates, and become a means of material production. The practice of digital capitalism and commodification, Salafis collect donations and sell satellite dishes for Rodja's media operational costs, so that the preaching of Salafism can be sustainable. Furthermore, the representation of ideology through mediatization of religion on Instagram aggregates a large number of conservative ideological congregants, while at the same time affirming Rodja's media Salafis as Da'wah Salafis or creed Salafis, not Sharia Salafis or political Salafis.
